• Caribbean coast and Bay Islands (La Ceiba, Roatán): heat, humidity and rain for much of the year.
• Northern valleys (San Pedro Sula): very hot.
• Central mountains (Tegucigalpa, La Esperanza): cooler, with cold nights in the highest areas.

What to bring

If you move between the coast and the mountains, be ready for big temperature changes: at night the interior can be cold even when the coast is hot.
