About the Meteo Info Online project
Meteo Info Online is a weather portal for Latin America and Spain. The focus is on clear weather data, fast local pages and a transparent product and data architecture.
Who operates the site
The site is operated by the team behind Meteo Info Online. The product, editorial and technology team is responsible for daily operation, ongoing development and the content structure of the project.
Who is responsible for the content and the technical side
The content layer of the project handles the editorial, explanatory and methodological content. The technical team handles hosting, data integration, caching, monitoring and incident management.
What the product is built on
The focus is on fast locality pages, regional overviews, alerts and thematic landing pages. Every change is evaluated in terms of load time, mobile usability, SEO capability and trust signals. We obtain the weather data from Open-Meteo (ECMWF, ICON and GFS models via Open-Meteo) through our own edge proxy. The geographic data on mountains, lakes and national parks comes from OpenStreetMap. All sources are named transparently on the Data sources page.
Transparency and more information
You will find the details about the data sources, the methodology and the data practices on the Data sources, How the weather forecast works and How we handle data pages. Errors in locality data can be reported through the Report an error in locality data page.
